read my commentReader comment on item: Ban the Burqa - and the Niqab Too Submitted by myriam (Israel), Aug 6, 2007 at 12:56 i am a muslim girl and i live in a western society , i also put the hijab ,not the niqab ( which is so different). i totally agree with every one who is against covering the face because in my opinion , it is unproper for this period and limits the ability to succeed. i want to ask every one here not to believe all what appears on tv , my point is, that in contrary to what is told in the media specially in the west, there are moderate muslims and i am one of them. i am against violence , against killing kidnapping and terror of any kind. i also want every one to know muslim women are not stuck in houses and rooms as most people think, my mother is a muslim woman she works she is independent, i am also a good example , i am a muslim girl i am specialist math, computer programming , scientific electricity , and soon i am going to the high institute of technology to learn biomedical engineering, i wanted to say there is no difference between us, i like music, movies travelling reading shopping the only difference that i put the hijab which the best two women in your culture mother tereza and mary (the mother of the christ) also put it . israel Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
