I've worked in academia for 14 years, so I'm sad to say that I'm hardly surprised at this rank stupidity. Among the numerous hypocritical groups are the radical feminists, who would chafe under the undemocratic, anti-female regimes of virtually all the mid-East countries except Israel. Hey radical fems: How about wearing the all-encompassing burqa in sympathy with the Arab women being "oppressed" by the "Zionists"? And while you're at it, consider this, if it's not too difficult for your tiny minds to deal with: Why are Afghanistan women free today? Because of the American bombing, that's why. The bombing that Gloria Steinem insisted "had to end" back in October.
