Militant Islam, far from being on the wane, is flourishing and making its poisonous effects felt day in and day out, thanks largely due to the generous Saudi petro dollars, Pakistan's terror-factories,in the garb of madrassas, Iran's cadres going by the name "Hezbollah", and the overt and covert support of many other Islamic countries.
While dealing with the Islamic world one has constantly to bear in mind that democracy and its concommitant values are entirely alien to Islamic history and culture, great and inspiring though it may have been in the past. Consequently, therefore, the Muslims, whether in countries like India ,which they have occupied since the partitioning of the Indian sub-continent in 1947,purely for tactical reasons and the need for survival, rather than any love for secularism or their largely non-Muslim co-nationals, or those who have migrated and settled in countries of Western Europe, like Denmark, France, Germany, and last but not the least, the U.K., have carried this creed of non-tolerance of people belonging to other religions, and the tendency to impose their cultural practices on the societies which have displayed the generosity of providing them their daily bread.
Time, however is ripe for asking some straight forward and direct questions about their behaviourial pattern and indeed, about Islam itself, and seek some answers from their representatives, whoever they may be. Political interference, if it seeks to rear its ugly head, must simply be disregarded in this laudable endeavour.
