The "Dealer" and the The "Addict"Reader comment on item: The Scandal of U.S.-Saudi Relations Submitted by B. Strunin (United States), Jul 30, 2003 at 14:16 Professor Pipes,It is quite obvious that America has been playing the role of "addict" for many years. Addicts will do anything and say anything to its dealer to keep the supply-line open. America is playing its role to perfection allowing the Saudis to virtually control us ! Until we give incentives to companies to help remove us from our addiction, this will not change ! Only when a substitute is found will the Saudi's be driven-back into the Stone-Age, where they belong. It comes as no suprise to me that until oil was discovered in Saudi Arabia, the main source of dietery protein were locusts ! That says it all !
