Truly wrong to read such a naive support of Maryam Rajavi's cult. They are anything but a democratic organization where the president is a self appointed one and who happens to be the wife of the founder of this fanatic religious cult. Many people belonging to the MEK are driven by vengeance. Some of that vengeance is even justified for many were victimes to the regime they helped create in Iran 28 years ago. They participated to the execution of thousands of opponents of the Islamic Revolution including many soldiers and officers of the former Imperial Regime. If that could be justified at worst in a so called revolutionary atmosphere it was less and less the case in the years of political repression that followed.
On the other hand how can one self appointed president explain the contradictions of its mouvements such as herself wearing a hejab that symbolizes what the Islamic tradition requires and in order to curb our doubts on the mouvements nature brainwashes beautiful girls not wearing the hijab to advertize its political mouvement. It tries thus to seduce European diplomats to accept their mouvement as liberal when in fact they use all the typical brainwashing material used in religious or para military cults to impose their ideology on its often innocent and young members seduced by their efficient propaganda. The MEK has found support amongst some of France's marginalized intellegensia some of whome are well known for their often radical stand such as France former First Lady Mrs. Danielle Mitterand who was at Odds with her own late husband on this issue as well as other ones including her staunch support of Cuba's President Castro at the hight of the executions of Cuban opposition dissidents.
Truly pathetic to see the Western Media fall for such a piece of Crap . The MEK is NOT AT ALL POPULAR in Iran for they betrayed their country by siding with Saddam Hussein. Paradoxically they serve the interests of some Western Lobby's and oppurtunistic sympathizers.
Best,
