Discrimination?Reader comment on item: Debate: Islam and Democracy Submitted by S.C.Panda (India), Jul 30, 2003 at 07:33 Dear Dr. Pipes,I wonder how the second largest section of the humanity feels threatened and who can destroy them. This is natural because Islam did spread by extreme violence against the infidels/kafirs. Why separate Human Rights for Muslims? This betrays the discriminative attitude of many Muslims vis-a-vis non-Muslims. Dr M. Khan cleverly avoided an answer to your query on apostacy and blasphemy laws. And finally, Islam and objectivity, not to talk of democracy, can go together.
