Reader comment on item: Islamists in the Hospital Ward

Submitted by Yuval Brandstetter MD (Israel), Jul 8, 2007 at 04:41

The psychiatrist who would rather see children die of whooping cough, measles, rubella, tetanus and polio than vaccinate them, due to some Haram substances, reminds me of the Malaria pandemic in Israel 1920's. At the time the Jizreel valley was still a swampland around which were a few settlements, Jewish farms (Kibbutzim and Moshavim) and beduin mud-hut villages. The malaria epidemic hit both very hard, though both has access to the very same to medical care, such that existed.

A group of Dutch physicians came to investigate and found that the Arab villages suffered 91 percent child mortality whereas the jewish settlements suffered a 9 percent loss. Amazed at the discrepancy they asked the Kibbutz members what was their rememdy. The answers was "we do not the children die" No child was given up on, ever, as long as he had breath. the Arab children were basically placed to the side and allowed to live, or die, as Allah willed.

The major influx opf Arabs to northern Israel (British Palestine, mandated as the future Jewish National Home) did not occur untill after the Jews had drained the swamps and defeated Malaria. The same is true of the inner coastal region which was malarious for generations, untill drained by jewish labor. Only then did arabs begin a mass migration and settlement on the periphery of Jewish villages and towns. These are the so-called Palestinians, a fallacy since the letter P does not exist in the Arab language.
