Mohammed 's rule by consent and consultationReader comment on item: Debate: Islam and Democracy Submitted by N.K. (United States), Jul 28, 2003 at 10:56 Dr. Khan said Mohammed ruled Madina by consent and consultation. Perhaps what he meant was that he ruled with the consent of, and conultation with, Allah. Islamic scriptures & history say that everything Mohammed did was instructed by divine revelation and according to Allah's wish including destruction of Bani Quraiza tribe, banishing of Bani Nadir tribe, political asassinations, & legaliziation of slavery and sex with slaves and captured women. A fine example of islamic democracy in action.Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
