However, it sounds a bit like taquiya talking. If I remember correctly there weren't problems between Arabs and Jews before Mohammed Amin alHusseini the so called "Grand Mufti" of Jerusalem started on his Hitler trip. Whether you believe it or not, there are places in the world where Muslims and Jews live together quite harmoniously in the same towns and villages. It could have been so also in Israel if it had not been for the Arab Nationalist ego being so overblown as to presume that it had the right to deny the Jews a homeland.

As for Northern Ireland, that is a sectarian religious conflict that has nothing to do actually with "English Occupation". It's Irish Protestants fighting Irish Catholics and it's been going on for far longer than the present situation in the Middle east. It will end only when both partys settle down and decide enough is enough and English involvement in the mix will not mean a jot one way or another. The most the English are is pawns in the Irish game of one upmanship.
