Reader comment on item: Salman Rushdie and British Backbone

Submitted by Tantrikkelt (United Kingdom), Jun 26, 2007 at 09:23

Unfortunately our so called political leaders exhibit a craven tendency to appeasement and politically correct crawling in almost every aspect of life in Britain today. We are as they say a "Nation of lions led by Donkeys".

British backbone has shrivelled in cowardice in the face of Islamic encroachment ...we are subservient to all minorities , not allowed to protest within a mile of the Parliament and the middle classes are so full of pc sh.t its a wonder they don't choke.

My apologies for being so blunt .....but it makes me so ashamed that we have sold out our heritage. God help our children's future ...

regards
RM
