Clinton II foolishnessReader comment on item: Bush is rewarding terrorism Submitted by James B. Smith (United States), Jun 26, 2002 at 10:03 If we assume that President Bush meant what he said, this is mostly Clinton II foolishness. As I understand it, the Oslo Accords signed in 1993 (94?) were based on similar but faulty positions. The so-called occupied lands were taken from Eygpt and perhaps Jordan, not 'Palestine.' Egypt refused to adopt the Palestinians, Jordan was on and off. The Palestinians have tenably lived in squalor and 'occupation' for generations. As I understand it, the Arab world has yet to establish one full fledge democracy and has no intention of doing so. The Palestinians are incapable of establishing one. The Arab goal, Palestinian and otherwise, is to exterminate Israel. I've given up on Bush. James B.
