Strange Bedfellows IIReader comment on item: Two Palestines, Anyone? Submitted by Blackspeare (United States), Jun 22, 2007 at 10:01 Now it appears that even Egypt is a little concerned with a radical fundamentalist Irani sponsored pseudo-government on its border----namely Hamas. Should Hamas cement its position it will give a boost to Mubarak's adversary----the Muslim Brotherhood. As the adage goes, "The enemy of my enemy is my friend" and only Israel is in a position to eliminate Hamas both politically and morally. Things are afoot and this summer will prove to be instrumental in a dramatic move towards a Middle East resolution----though it may not immediately be the peace touted in the media-----there's much negotiation ahead before a Palestinian state can be created.
