I noticed that my baby sister (Linda Wolff) responded wonderfully to this article. I do not have much to add except like her, I also live in Israel and the push that got me here was reading a book by Arthur D. Morse dealing with American apathy to the Jewish plight during the second world war. If anyone reads the book, they will have to agree that not much has changed.
I agree with the premise that all countries have a right to protect their land, assests and citizens. On this basis, I also agree that America is doing, and should be doing, what is right for America. I therefore have to arrive at the conclusion that Israel is granted those same rights. To be terrorized by its enemies is at least understandable. To be blackmailed by its friends is unforgivable. All the more so by our own politicians who buckle under to the heavy pressure being brought to bear upon us by our friends. We will survive, much to the chagrin of most of the world, and we walk today on the bones and remains of the Greeks, Romans, Crusaders and others who tried to do subdue us. Let the world be advised that we plan on doing a lot of walking in Israel for the many generations to come.
